Finalmente la sessione invernale è finita!!! Gli esami sono andati parecchio bene: il secondo è un 28, del primo (fatto martedì scorso) so solo la prima parte.. 25! Il prof mi ha mandato la mail stamattina... -.- Non ho da lamentarmi insomma! A parte che domani ricominciano le lezioni, e proprio non ne ho voglia!! Tra l'altro saranno solo 3 giorni la settimana (mercoledì e venerdì liberiiii yeeee!!) però dalla mattina alle 930 con una leggerissima lezione di econometria, un paio d'ore di pausa e poi altre tre ore di un leggerissimo diritto degli intermediari finanziari o due di economia monetaria. Ricordo gran bene economia monetaria internazionale, il mio penultimo esame dato alla triennale!! Tutti grafici, ipotesi e risultati. Non vedo davvero l'ora........

Inoltre ho finito Crypto di Dan Brown. Del libro poco da commentare, davvero.. Appassionante e tiene il lettore sulle spine, ma è tutto già visto e rivisto. Ho cominciato poi Dead until dark di Charlaine Harris, il primo libro della serie di Sookie Stackhouse da cui hanno preso ispirazione per True Blood (di cui avevo parlato anche QUI).

Washington. La trentottenne Susan Fletcher, brillantissima mente matematica e responsabile della divisione di crittologia dell'NSA (National Security Agency), viene convocata d'urgenza nell'ufficio del comandante Strathmore. Qualcuno ha realizzato un programma capace di "ingannare" il più sofisticato strumento informatico di spionaggio al mondo, un supercomputer che può decodificare qualunque testo cifrato a una velocità strabiliante. Pochissimi conoscono l'esistenza di questa macchina, ideata per contrastare le nuove minacce alla sicurezza nell'era di Internet e in grado di controllare la posta elettronica di chiunque. La stessa NSA, nata per proteggere le comunicazione del governo americano e intercettare quelle delle potenze straniere, opera in semiclandestinità, al di fuori del controllo pubblico. Susan non si stupisce quando viene a sapere che "Fortezza Digitale", così è stato battezzato il programma, è frutto delle ricerche di un genio dell'informatica: il giapponese Ensei Tankado, handicappato dalla nascita per gli effetti del disastro atomico di Hiroshima, che dopo essere stato chiamato negli Stati Uniti a lavorare per l'NSA ha sbattuto la porta in faccia ai suoi capi quando si è accorto che il supercomputer rischiava di trasformarsi in un nuovo Grande Fratello. I suoi intenti sono nobili, ma la sua decisione di boicottare l'operato dell'NSA, mettendo il programma in rete e permettendo a chiunque di scaricarlo, rischia di creare l'anarchia e di assicurare libertà d'azione a spie e criminali.

Dan Brown non si smentisce, il suo stile è inconfondibile. Semplice, scorrevole, rimandi tecnici, capitoli che lasciano in suspense il lettore, prima si segue un personaggio e poi si passa ad un altro. Le descrizioni degli scenari sono come sempre il tocco per entrare ancora più nella storia e farci ambientare tra i protagonisti. Come sempre il mondo è in pericolo, questa volta la minaccia arriva virtualmente. Come sempre ci sono indizi da decifrare e corse contro il tempo. Come sempre ci sono omicidi, spostamenti intercontinentali in jet superveloci, qualcuno che risolve i problemi ed altri che ne approfittano. Come sempre un intrigo internazionale-governativo. Lo ripeto: lo stile di Brown è sempre lo stesso e già da metà libro si capisce che niente è come si presenta, che c’è chi mente, chi nasconde la verità. E si resta col fiato sospeso fino all’ultimo, quando nulla è come ci si aspettava.

Di Brown ho anche l'ultimo libro (Il simbolo perduto) ma penso che prenderò una pausa dai thriller e continuerò con "Il mondo ai miei piedi", prenderei giusto il titolo per definire il mio attuale periodo!! :D
